Night Owl

Headband (worn as necklace): Topshop
Jumper: Housemate
Skirt: Primark
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

This feather jumper is one of my favourite things my housemate Kristina owns. Literally think I’m in love. She kindly let me borrow it for this outfit, which means that I now have pictures to coo over. Talking of cooing over something, I would like to formally present to the world (...yeah right) my pride and joys! You can see them clearly in the final picture. It was a very rare outing for the pair as they are usually kept under lock and key, in a box within a box, in their respective dust bags. I’m like an over protective parent. It’s sad. This is officially only the second time in the 3 years I have had my Christian Louboutin Pigalle's on in the danger zone that is outside. I’m hoping that one day when I’m successful in some kind of way (here’s hoping), I will have a good reason to tarnish the dreamy red soles of these shoes around people who will fully appreciate them for what they are. If there was such a thing as a mad shoe lady I think I would be it.

Winters Come Late

Headband (worn as necklace): Topshop
Coat: Zeki London (Ebay)
Fur Collar: ASOS
Shirt: Housemates
Trousers: H&M
Boots: Dr Martens

I know that this outfit looks very similar to my first outfit post 'Scotch On The Rocks' and that's because it is! I took the pictures just before I was heading off to Uni and came to the conclusion after standing about outside for a good 10 minutes that it was much too cold to venture out in a cape. So I donned this coat that I bought from Ebay and got a few more snaps. I really didn’t like this coat when it came in the post, it just looked like it was missing something. Enter the ASOS burgundy fur collar! Its addition has made this look one of my staples and saved the coat from the dreaded scissors.

Getting Foxy At The Disco

Leather Jacket: River Island
Shirt (only seen at back): ASOS
Disco Pants: American Apparel
Fur Collar: Vintage
Boots: Dr Martens
Bag: ASOS

These photos were taken by my next door neighbour Zahra, a Fashion Promotion and Imaging student at my Uni. We were about to head to town when she told us that she needed to snap us for her project, so I found myself doing a quick change and reaching for my old faithfulls - Disco pants, Docs and a Leather jacket. The fur collar was added simply because it was a typical cold British day. I donned my ridiculously old beaten up mittens pretty sharpish after the pictures were taken, me and cold do not mix well. Unfortunately for me, I definitely verge more on the warmth before style side of the argument. Tragic.

Scotch On The Rocks

Cross Headband (worn as necklace): Topshop
Tartan Cape: Vintage
Shirt: My Housemates
Fur Collar: ASOS
Trousers: H&M
Boots: Dr Martens

The good thing about living with 3 other Fashion Journalism student is that there are always plenty of opportunities to borrow beautiful clothes. This will no doubt be confirmed in many future posts. The shirt I am wearing here was a mere £1, discovered by my house mate Trudie whilst on a clothes sourcing trip to London (Why wasn't I there?!) and its to die for.

I have fallen into the habit of wearing my Topshop cross headband as a necklace with any outfit, especially under shirt collars. Its one of them purchases that I seriously regretted at first as it has been proven many a time that I look hideous in headbands, thank god it has been given a second chance at life by becoming my favourite piece of neck ware.

I should finish with saying that it is quite unlikely that I will have anything on my feet other than my Dr Martens until at least mid spring. Pretty sure I'm addicted.

In To The Wild

I have been MAJOURLY slacking on my Fashion Journalism student duties since September and I feel that this is as good a time as any to start playing by the rules. So as of now I am hurling myself head first into the daunting world of online media. I have made a slow but steady start, throwing an outfit post or two into the lynch mob that is lookbook and I am continuing by starting to fill this blog up with my odd and usually pointless thoughts. Next in my line of fire are twitter and Tumblr. As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and the same will more likely than not be said for my online endeavours. A girl can try.
